Polestar hires 100 new technology specialists

The Swedish electric car brand will employ more than 100 technology experts at its head office in Gothenburg over the next few months.

The Swedish electric car brand, Polestar, is growing – and digital expansion is in focus. Polestar’s digital team will increase knowledge and capacity even more and position itself as a top choice for tech talents worldwide.

Polestar’s digital team breaks with the norm and creates innovation to accelerate changes in the electric car industry. The team will continue to work on groundbreaking digital products that change the way users interact, explore and interact with electric cars. The positions cover all parts of the digital ecosystem, both inside and outside the vehicle, factories, Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and support for Research and development (R&D).

The Polestar company is growing at an enormous speed, and the digital team is no exception. So this is truly a unique opportunity to become part of a company that is an industry leader in digital transformation by using eCommerce as the primary channel for sales. Polestar has implemented an entire trading and IT environment in recent years while it has shaped a state-of-the-art customer experience.

Polestar is already redefining electric car trading through its all-digital trading universe. The unique digital experience enables customers to digitally find information about electric cars, configure a Polestar 2 and order it. Thus, the entire customer journey is digital, at the same time as a close dialogue with the customer is maintained throughout the process.

The electric car brand also revolutionises the customer experience by integrating a direct, digital connection to owners. Polestar 2 owners already use remotely controlled software updates that provide the latest functionalities to the car. Over-the-Air (OTA) updates allow the company to address various issues, such as increasing the charging speed, fixing bugs, stabilising or improving the range, and updating the essential software. With the digitally connected Polestar 2, and a holistic approach to development, the digital environment is continuously improved.

The Polestar 2 electric car has two versions, both with a single electric motor. The first version proposes an electric motor of 224 hp, 330 Nm and a battery of 64 kWh, with a maximum autonomy of 440 kilometres. The second version benefits from a 231 hp, 330 Nm and a 78 kWh battery for a range of up to 540 kilometres. The Polestar 2 electric car with a single electric motor and a 64 kWh battery has a starting price of 45,000 euros.

Polestar is now looking for digital experts who can help push technological boundaries and software development and now announce positions such as service engineers and designers, digital and technical skills, business analysis, UX / UI designers and more. Openness and transparency are a cornerstone for Polestar and the company’s digital department. These roles will create a unique opportunity for personal development and for exploring other positions in the company.

Polestar is a company where concepts, information, technology and fast execution and implementation meet. The global team’s passion, ambition and dedication to continuously be groundbreaking is genuinely inspiring. The results are nothing short of excellent. @via Polestar.
