Cricket is one of the most popular sports in the world. It’s a bat and ball game that is played between two teams. Each team has eleven players, with one player designated as a bowler and another as a batsman. The bowler’s goal is to hit the wicket with his ball, and the batsman’s goal is to stop that from happening. If he doesn’t succeed, he is said to be “out.” It is an intense sport that requires a lot of gear. Depending on the time of year and where you play, the gear you need can be different. When it comes to buying the right cricket equipment, there are several cricket shops in Australia to choose from.

Cricket originated in England in the 16th century, but it has grown globally over time. It’s especially popular in Australia, India, England, South Africa, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. While many people around the world have heard of cricket and know something about it, there are probably some things about this international sport that you didn’t know! Here are five little known facts about cricket:

Cricket was an official Olympic sport from 1900 to 1904 and was also considered for inclusion in 1912. However, it was dropped because of poor attendance at matches. Though cricket has not been included in the Olympic Games yet, there are speculations that it might make its entry into the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where T20 matches could be included as a demonstration sport apart from baseball and softball, which are making their way back to the Olympics after being dropped in 2005 due to lack of popularity.
