Last Updated on April 11, 2023 by

In the era of falsehood and mischief, we must make ourselves and our children aware of the stories of the Prophets (AS). So, they could learn from the stories and know their ancestors. However, if you are anxious about how to discipline your kids with the Quranic teaching and how to evoke the spirit of following the golden guidelines of Hazrat Muhammad SAW, relate them about the life of Prophets (AS).

Here in this blog, we included short Story of Prophet Adam AS and Eve to learn from it and put our lives on the right track.  Remember, all the stories have an authentic link with Quran. As Allah, Himself calls the Quran best book of stories

“We relate to you, [O Muhammad], the best of stories in what We have revealed to you of this Qur’an although you were, before it, among the unaware.” [12:3]

The story of Adam AS and Eve

Creation

The essence and ancestors of all men on the earth are Adam and Eve. The Quran describes the perfect conversation between Allah Almighty and the angels. At the time of creation, Allah Almighty asked the angels that He would create his successor on the earth. But, the angels asked that he would cause mischief. Then Allah replied that He knows everything that angels don’t. the conversation is very clearly defined in the second surah of the Holy Quran in these words

“And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” They said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” Allah said, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.” [2:30]

Glory of knowledge

Allah SWT then told the angel that Adam was superior due to his knowledge. Allah SWT asked the angel about the names of some objects, but the angel could not reply; then Allah Almighty asked Adam, and he replied to all the questions, but Allah taught him to answer accordingly. The Holy Quran mentioned the event as:  [Learn Hadith Online]

“And He taught Adam the names – all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, “Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.” [2:31]

“They said, “Exalted are You; we do not know what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.” [2:32]

“He said, “O Adam, inform them of their names.” And when he had informed them of their names, He said, “Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed.” [2:33]

Banishing of Satan

So, Allah SWT created the first human being, Adam AS, and his wife Eve AS, and made him His first Prophet. Allah SWT created him with His own hands, and when He breathed in Adam AS and asked other angels to do prostrate before Adam, all did, but Satan refused to oblige the command of Allah and remained haughty. Then, Allah SWT banished him and made hell a forever destination for him. In the Holy Quran, the complete conversation between Allah and angel and Satan is mentioned: “And [mention] when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam”; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.” [2:34]

Satan disobeyed Allah SWT and had redeemed forever. After that, he asked Allah Almighty to permit to tempt His men. Allah permitted him and challenged him that he could not tempt the pious beings of Allah.

Conclusion

So, now Satan is trying his best to tempt the virtuous people of Allah, but he cannot. We must avoid him and turn to Allah. For this purpose, we need to learn Quran and Hadith and teach it to our kids. Online Quran and Hadith courses are available at languagestutor.org. Get yourself registered.
